rook

Today and yesterday were busy days. Yesterday I babysat three little kids, Sarai, Antoni and Alice. Sarai is a girly girl and is "tender" and Alice kept pinching her and stuff making Sarai cry and Antoni was being a typical boy. Judith was out shopping and she was late so I ended up not going to youth group, but Sarah and Chelsea still went without me which is good. After I got home I spent the night at Chelsea's and after we played sorry we put a movie on and then we both fell asleep about twenty minutes into the movie. Today we had our annual business meeting which is always lots of fun, and this year the little kids behaved quite well. Except for John being scary towards Eva. I played chess with Joseph and he won, which was really annoying, but oh well. After everybody left Jill, Elijah, Joseph, Ben and I cleaned the church and ordered pizza for supper. That was good.

Snow camp is coming up soon and I hope this year all us teens will really become "on fire" for the Lord, and take it home with us. Chelsea may be coming so I hope this year maybe the Lord will use the preaching to save her.

I cant really think of much to write. Elijah wants me to play rook with him but two player rook is boring in my opinion, I suggested we wait and see if Joseph wants to play. Well, that all for tonight people.

Lia, Kyla and I had fun with old SS visuals and a flannel board tonight. They made up stories with parable pictures. There was opportunity to talk to Kyla of faith vs. works.

In my school days the slang word "sucks" was a sexual term. I have a serious problem with hearing it today. I know the meaning is that something is "no good, rotten..." and the like. For example calling someone or -thing "gay" today can mean it is "stupid, no good..." but still the source of the word is of immorality. Good friend and other readers... beware of slang.

I am not really finding any dictionary support for this but some of these things just go undocumented. Thankfully the word on the street does not always make it into books that are to help our academic education.

Hey, on a lighter note...today was a blessing.

i looked up sucks in the wordweb dictionary, and since people have objections to it I'll replace that word.

Philippians 1:6

Thanks for praying for us. The more we understand about God's holiness; the more we see our sinful selves and the things to change here.

I'm going to guess that is a yes because you didn't comment back.

She didn't comment because she's been at the church building all afternoon. She's only just now home, and when I get off I'll let her speak for herself.

Elijah had a little, but he mostly drank the coke. I finished the bottle, it was good.

And is this snowball bombing taking place at skating or Wednesday night or Friday? I need a warning so that I am not taken by surprise.

Joseph said...

I am unable to tell you that. I will not ruin my plan. I will make you a choice. either you take the snow balls or you take no root beer for birthday.

Prudence said...

Ah ha! Root Beer before bed means no sleep. Now we have figured it out!

zorg said...

Ok, I'll take the snowballs. Am I allowed to defend myself?

How are you feeling anyways?

zorg said...

and prudence, the root beer had no caffeine in it, just sugar, and i don't become sleepless on sugar.

prudence said...

So I have been told...about the caffeine. Oh well. Maybe the sugar did it.

Joseph said...

Yeah go ahead and defend your self its more fun that way.

Joseph said...

So do you want it on the day of skating or your real birthday? the root beer I mean.

zorg said...

I don't care, whenever. just so I get it:)

My birthday is on a Wednesday, or you could wait until March 1. We are probably postponing it until then because Josiah, your dad and Micheal(sp) are doing something and because your mom said something about having to pick Kaylyn up that day.
