Music

Ok, so I am going to share with everyone some really icky (I'll be honest, the first word that came to my mind was the c-word) people/bands that I don't like. I actually don't like any of the secular (hmmm, I think thats the word) music out there, but these guys and girls really bug me. Here are their names: Snoop Dogg, Rihanna, Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, Stacy "Furgie" Ferguson, and 50 Cent.

Some of you may remember SOS, by Rihanna and you already know what I think of her voice. I spelled her name wrong on one of my last posts. Now Snoop Dogg just creeps me out. They way they start out a lot of their songs with a long, drawn out, "Snooooooooooooooooooooop Dawgg!" And then they start singing in a quiet revengeful sort of way, like hearing a voice say very controlled and quietly in pitch black, "I am going to get you". I don't like Shakira 'cause she is a slut and seems to like it. I have never listened to her and I don't plan to, but I have seen the case on one of Chelsae's CDs, and she sports the "Eve look". The Black Eyed Peas are just weird, here is a bit of their son "lets get retarded. I, personally think they are retarded. hehehe

"In this context, there's no disrespect, so, when I bust my rhyme, you break your necks.
We got five minutes for us to disconnect, from all intellect collect the rhythm effect. Obstacles are inefficient, follow your intuition, free your inner soul and break away from tradition. . ."

Weird isn't it. Even their names are strange, there is will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and then Furgie is also part of the BEP; she is the female singer in the group. She is pretty much like Shakira to me. And the last is 50 cent, it's rap and I hate rap and thats all I am gonna say.

I don't really want to go into detail about who they actually are, and I wish I had never heard any of their songs at all. It's a real big hindrance in church or when I try to pray and then suddenly "Furgalicous, defanicious. . ." goes sailing through my mind., or "SOS, please someone help me, its not healthy for me to remember this song. . ." It's terrible. I wish I could think of some verses from the Bible to help, but my mind is blank. My apologies to anyone who has those songs stuck in your head. But this blog is sorta like my "sounding board", I am not going to get a response from this actual blog, but I can write it all down and think "there, now it's out".

It is 11:12 pm, and I am going to bed now.

There are a good bit of verses of the Bible that say don't do anything if it is not honouring to God. One way to get them out of your head is to think of other song like: hymns, classical music, and what ever other music you might like, really. It helps me alot!

I second Tiny Tim. I have songs in my head from 25-30 years ago that are still bugging me. I am so thankful you are bugged by this now. When I was 15-going-on-16, well...we won't go there. I'm not sure I want you to know about that part of my past!

It might also help if you absolutely, flat out refuse to look at or listen to anything Chelsea has, music wise.

I am a lot at peace because of what I am not exposed to by being home a lot. When visiting my M-I-L at the LTC facility I hear activities where they sing the old stuff from their generation. That is going back a bit!! Then they have casino night that counters the good stuff. AHHHHkkk and OOOOOoooooboy. (Roll eyes)
